Thanks to Nick Thrower for his help on race control

Clubman Finals

The Clubman finals started with race one, a very tense race for 5th and 6th place between Dick Stevenson and Mac Miles. after three minutes racing it looked like Mac had just done enough to win it but on closer inspection Dick had just nicked it on the staggered lane markings.

Race Two, with lane choice I would have said Cliff would have been favorite for this race but third qualifier Stan Kirk sprinted of into the lead to win by a lap and an a half, over Cliff and nearly two laps on Andy and Ali who were having their own battle.

Overall Finals

Due to the odd number of racers Mac did not get to race in the finals.

D Final

Stan Kirk continued his form from the Clubmans race and won the D final this time being pushed hard by Andy they both went faster in the final than they did in qualifying.

C Final

Les had the unenviable position of being the only super in a predominately falcon race, lots of pressure to win which he did from Mark, Nick and Cliff who went faster than his qualifying pace, shame he could not reproduce that form in the clubman final.

B Final

Paul won this one with ease showing that had he not had his out ( and grumpy moment) in his best qualifying heat he would have been a contender in the A

A Final
This was a much tighter race than qualifying would have suggested, Ian Barker looking comfortable in the lead for the first two thirds of the race with Will and Dave hot on his heals but not making any progress, Ian made an uncharacteristic mistake and put his car on the floor at beginning of that lovely straight which gifted will the win.

Le Man 32

Favorites VIP had a trouble free run to the end, to record their second win on this track,

LMR also had a steady trouble free run but were nursing a lack of rubber for the last few minutes

LSCC had a more eventful race with a car that was eating gears. I am unaware of the rules but apparently you can change cars with a loss of all laps accrued up to that point. they then mounted a fantastic recovery to finish third. They also got the biggest laugh of the day as the second car that was brought to the start line had no axle gears or tyres ???

I think D&D also had a trouble free run

Harwood racing was the first Genesis / Falcon home with a creditable run of 652

Not sure what happened to Netley on there yellow run

AlMacAl took an early bath with the outer falcon based car
