14 April Bournemouth
The third round of the year attracted an entry of 20 drivers.
Qualifying saw Will Stemman take top spot with a 35, then Simon Francis top Falcon on a 34 followed by a group of drivers on 32 and most of the field much more closely matched.
We had 8 drivers for the clubman finals. Mac Miles turned in his best run of the day to win the B final from Andy Bishop. Graham Sampson won the A final by over a lap from Bill Jenner, with Alan Clark third. That’s 3 clubman wins out of 3 for Graham this year, which of course extended his championship lead.

Clubman A Final
The A Final
Young Man’s LM32 winning car
The overall finals started with the E final, looking like a repeat of the Clubman B with the same drivers, same cars in the same lanes. Wouldn’t you expect a similar result? It turned out completely different with Andy Bishop winning from Dick Stevenson.
In the D, Mike Davies won from Mark Lyons and Bill Jenner.
Josh Bryant on his first visit to the track was getting better with every race, he won the C final by a lap from Steve Kearey.
The B final developed into a close race between Mark Witham and Dave Stevenson. They were just about side by side as the power went off but the Falcon was always going to coast further than the super... So Mark won.
The A final produced a not unexpected win by Will Stemman with his super from Simon’s Falcon. Brian Saunders was third with his Falcon ahead of Paul Harwood’s super. That’s 4 wins in a row for Will, (including the last 2018 round).
Le Mans 32
The Young Man won the team race by just short of 28 laps. Will Stemman set the 2 fastest runs of the day with Josh Bryant not far behind. “How Hard Can It Be” made it three second places in a row to take the championship lead, with Brian Saunders blue lane run preventing Young Man getting a clean sweep of the top 4 fastest runs. GT took third overall and won the Falcon class. UFO and Netley took the next two places with group 12 power, while the next placed Falcon was Harwood racing.
Final Rounds
We took a vote on the proposal to hold the final round of the season on the Nats track at Corby. Everybody agreed so the we’ll swap the last two rounds giving Neley the 3rd November slot and the final at Corby on 15 December.
