The Southern 32’s final meeting of 2019 had one more race than usual...a Saturday race for teams of 2 drivers. The cars were 1/24 saloons to BSCRA rules except the motors were limited to Hawk 7. There were 12 teams. The top 3 teams were closely matched, and were covered by 2 1/2 laps after an hour’s racing. Young Man won with Will Stemman setting the only 70 lap segment of the day, “How Hard Can It Be” took second ahead of Rockingham.

Sundays racing was the normal Southern 32 format

Marc Lyons won the clubman final to move up to second in the championship. Colin Wilkinson was second ahead of Bill Jenner with Sammy taking 4th at her first Southern 32 meeting.

The C final was all Falcon/ Hawk powered and was won by Nick Thrower.

Stan Alton won the B, while Steve Kearey won Falcon Masters, Simon Francis was second in Falcon Masters just a couple of feet ahead of Brian Saunders, but it was Brian who won the championship.

The A final was won by Will Stemman. Josh Bryant was second in the final ahead of Gavin Wills and Paul Harwood.

Will has dominated the season having won all 8 rounds he entered - but drivers only count their best 6 scores.

Le Mans 32 was run to the same format as the 1/24 race, also with 12 teams although with quite a lot of different drivers. Again Young Man won from, “How Hard Can It Be” but unlike Saturday’s race, Will and Josh won by a large margin. Gavin and Sammy won the Falcon/Hawk class.

Will and Josh won both team races and finished 1-2 in the individual class.
