Southern 32 -
The series for you!
19 June Coulsdon
Round 4 was at Coulsdon, it was good to see Mikes Seary, Speight and Ransley giving
the Southern 32 a try, and Vince Lee and Ian Barker returning. Unfortunately 3 of
the series regulars had to miss this round because of covid -
Thanks to Mike Read and everybody at Coulsdon for an excellent day’s racing.
Don’t forget the BOAC 500 Charity event which is at Coulsdon on Sunday 3rd July.

Clubman A Final
Overall Finals
The D final looked like it would be a rerun of the clubman D final, except it produced
the opposite result with Bill winning from Mike.
In the C final Mike Speight used
his super to go over a lap faster than in the heats, and lapped the Hawk runners.
Mike Seary was the clear winner in the B final from Aston Offer, while Ian Barker
took top spot in Hawk Masters and third in the B.
The A final was all super Wasp powered.
Vince Lee lead all the way with Mike Read close behind. Championship leader Paul
Harwood just piped Les May for 3rd.

Le Mans 32 Team Race
The LMR team of Mike Read and Les May looked quickest throughout, and won comfortably going some two laps quicker than their winning time from last year’s event. The other group 12 runners were more closely matched, the championship leading Harwood racing team taking in second from Broom Bandits, MSMS and Impunity. GT won the Hawk powered class from Timaru.

Thanks again to everybody at Coulsdon.
