It was disappointing to see only 13 racers participate at the 3rd round of the series held at Teesside. No doubt this was not helped by the exceptionally hot weather combined with the World Cup but nevertheless a good day’s racing was had by all with the bonus of an early finish!
Well done to Martin Ellis who comfortably won 1/32nd in the absence of the 2 other championship contenders from last season. Local drivers performed very well with Mike Kettleson coming 2nd overall & top clubman. With Mike partnering young family member Josh as Ketts they may well have won the team race if it were not for a late gear change. This allowed Martin Ellis & Peter Donely as Rightguard to take a good win.
I am sure we will see more racers back at the end of the month for the welcome return of Bolton to the series.
