The A Final

Saturday’s second class was for F2. The F2 class allows a free choice of chassis
but has a limited choice of standard motors -
The race format was an individual 1 minute qualifying run to seed the 16 competitors into 2 segmented finals.
Lee Parsons top qualified with a 6.782 second lap ahead of Josh Bryant. These 2 were the only ones under 7 seconds and Lee’s time was close to Josh’s 6.777 qualifying record set in 2022.
Simon Scott won the B final by 5 laps from Steve Sargent with Ant Hawkes third on the same lap as Steve.
Josh Bryant led the A final after Lee Parsons made an early pit stop, and Josh pulled away to win by 4 laps. Mark Witham held third held most of the way and just held on from a late charge by Paul Harwood to take the place by the narrowest of margins (see photo). Simon’s B final time was good for 5th overall.
