24th September   - Fylde

After a number of indifferent attendances at some of the rounds this year it was great to end the season with a healthy attendance of 16 for the final round at Fylde. It was also a very competitive field with no less than 5 current & 4 former Premier Grade drivers! Whilst nowhere near what we would like to see there were at least 3 clubman drivers including 1 junior participating.

1/32nd heats were dominated by Martin Ellis with a best 2 heat total nearly 3 laps ahead of a tight cluster of 4 other drivers including an impressive showing from Richard Turner returning to his form of old. The very tightest placing was for 4th with Pete Clarkson & Steve Sargent on equal footage with the last A final place decided by best 3rd run!

Martin went on to comfortably win the A Final while Pete Clarkson just took the B Final from  Ant Hawkes who was on good form. Peter Donely had a very close shave in the C Final in beating Ian Fitzpatrick by just 5 feet. Mark Croston just getting back into things after a long sabbatical took honours in the D Final.

Martin Ellis continued his domination in the 1/24th Team Race partnering Gordon Dickson as Little & Large ran out winners by 12 laps. Steve Mutimer & Ian Fitzpatrick as Betta held off Paul Shepherd & Pete Clakson as Team 131 to take 2nd by less than 2 laps.

Most importantly I think all drivers at the different levels enjoyed a good day of fun racing.
