The British Slotracing League is run to provide a cheap production formula race series. Cars raced are 1/32nd scale Production & Super Production Sports Cars as an individual event and 1/24th scale Production Sports Cars as a 2 person team event. The emphasis is on fun racing and a friendly atmosphere. In particular the aim is to provide the ideal introductory inter-club racing series for newcomers to develop their skills.

Round Venues

Details have been held back in the hope that Bolton can resolve their issues in being able to use the clubroom. Unfortunately after over 2 months there is currently no sign of them being any nearer. With this in mind & in case of the need for any postponements or cancellations in these still very uncertain times a contingency date has been built in to the end of the season.

It was not possible to fit Castle Raceway on the re-vamped series last year but they return this year which should help ensure we have 6 rounds.

The Scottish Tour returns to the popular Spring Bank Holiday weekend which this year is a little later as it incorporates the Jubilee Bank Holiday on the Friday as well as the usual Bank Holiday Monday. With the rounds on the Sat & Sun this will leave plenty time for racers to travel both ways.

Rule Changes

1. With the use of Hawk 7BB motors being allowed in Intro 32 its use in the BSL 1/24th class will now also be allowed to keep it consistent.

2. Following the big reduction in BSCRA membership fees since SCRN Magazine was discontinued, to score points in the series all racers will need to be BSCRA members & the separate BSL registration fee will lapse. Given the support & promotion the series gets from BSCRA this seems a very fair step to take.

15th May - Pontefract

 4th June - Dunfermeline

5th June - Highland

24th Jul  - Castle Raceway

21st Aug - Teesside  

  9th Oct   - Fylde      

The 27th Nov contingency date is no longer needed as we have thankfully had no postponements due to covid & unfortunately Bolton are no nearer resolving issues surrounding weekend use of premises.
