24th July -
Unfortunately a very small number attended the Castle Raceway BSL. A combination of the Enduro event at Corby added to the weekend, 2 racers with family functions & 2 who set off but never arrived due to vehicle failure all affected this. Nevertheless those that did appear enjoyed a relaxed day's racing on the well prepared 5 lane circuit when there was also plenty time to catch up with our old friends from North Wales.
Terry Giacomet proved how good a driver he still is on his home track in coming 2nd in the individual race & winning the team race with equally fast partner Dave Gatten. They were run close by Team Mutley with the line up of former national champion Steve Mutimer & up & coming Bolton newcomer Colin Bailey.
