Southern 32 2025

Calendar - The 2025 calendar is now online.   The season starts at North London on 19th January.

Rule Changes -  At Corby we voted on a number of proposed rule changes, all were defeated so the 2025 Southern 32 rules will be similar to this year except for the BSCRA rule changes.
The main BSCRA change for our racing is Eagle motors become eligible for INTRO 32, so can be run in clubman, and the  Hawk Masters and Hawk team class will become Hawk/Eagle classes

BSCRA National Centre - 10 November

The final round of the 2024 Championship was at the BSCRA National Centre at Corby.  This year’s entry was a record 31, indeed the Southern 32 proved very successful this year with 65 drivers racing, the best many years and just short of the record 68 in 2010.
There was a full weekend’s racing on the track with Saturday's Super Challenge  and Southern 32 on Sunday.

Thanks to Nick Thrower for Race control and special thanks to Sammy and Christine for the catering.
For this round we adopted the 1 minute qualifying, 8 x 3 minute segmented race format that suits the race control system on this track.   For 2025, the standard for club rounds will continue to be the traditional heat on each, best one to count to qualify for single run finals.

Fifteen teams took the start, the round robin format gave teams a run on each lane with cars spending 7 segments in parc ferme .

Area 51 were comfortably fastest and won by the inpressive margin of over 40 laps from series champions DOT. LSCC and GT were closely matched throughout, the Luton pair eventually claiming third by a couple of laps.

Norfolk & Chance were the first Hawk powered team, an excellent 5th overall.

Le Mans 32 Team Race

Gavin Wills was top qualifier with a 6.287 second lap, the top 3 were faster than the fastest Super Production time set at the Production Challenge back in September.  The first of 4 finals was won by Richard Beamish with 186 laps. Peter Kerr won the C final with a super production on 182, leaving Richard still top.  Steve Rouse already had enough points to win the clubman championship.
