The 2024 Super Challenge was held on the BSCRA Nationals track at Corby on 9th November.
It was an excellent meeting, thanks to Barry Gilzean for organising it.  A big  thank you to Sammy and Christine for the catering and to lead race controller Nick Thrower.

In the individual class brushless Genesis cars raced alongside the newly approved Mid America Eagle powered INTRO 32 cars and the  existing JK Hawk 7 / 7BB powered cars.

The individual race format was 1 min qualifying for 8x3 min segmented heats followed by a 1 lane shoot out for the final positions.  The heats were split into 3 groups, two 6 driver groups and a 9 driver group for the highest ranked drivers on the BSCRA list.

Adrian Blakey was top of the 6 driver runs with 211 laps ahead of Steve Taylor on 201.  Richard Mack was top of the 9 driver group on ahead of Gavin Wills on 202.

Adrian won the Clubman shoot out from Steve with Colin Wilkinson third.  Richard won the Overall shoot out from Adrian with Mark Witham third. All those were running brushless, the first brushed runner was Gavin, 4th overall.

Only a few of the Hawk/Eagle cars were weighed - they were in the range 85.5 to 89.3 gm.

The motor revs were measured with the motor in the car driving the rear wheels and with 3 volts connected to the car’s pickups.    The numbers are k rpm, so 11.5 means 11,500rpm @ 3 volts etc.

Hawks are JK  Hawk 7 or 7BB
