Southern 32 -
The series for you!
19 racers took to the LSCC track – 2 Super Productions and the rest Hawk Genesis/X32. A good showing from Coulsdon, Norwich, LSCC and Bill Jenner.
Thanks hugely to Dave Stevenson’s calm influence when the Race Control system (under
Chris Stemman’s control) took it upon itself to zero the first 13 heats for no reason.

The overall finals ran first. Andy Taylor took the E final slowly getting to grips with the LSCC bends. Graham Clarke took the D final from the 2nd Super runner. Steve Taylor took victory in the C final after a close race with AJ. The B Final was the closest of the day with Tony and Dave side by side until the last bend when they both crashed and were granted a dead heat for 1st. Local knowledge proved the passport to the A final where Paul took victory from the Hawk runners Nick, Chris and Marc.
Clubmans finals left Andy Taylor sitting out as there were 13. Mike Ransley took
victory from Steve Brown in the C final. AJ led the way in the B final with another
Steve (Pratt) in 2nd. The A final showed the benefit of local knowledge again with
Chris Stemman leading David Hackforth home for an LSCC 1-
The team race saw some new team combos entered. Nick (teamed with Andy Taylor from Norwich) set the first near 150 lap bracket followed by DOT, Harwood and Wreckless (with special guest appearance of Will Stemman for a bit of Worlds practice). DOT pace prevailed to take victory on 601 laps with Harwood Racing on 597 laps not able to gain the extra 4 laps to displace DOT. 3rd went to Wreckless (the top placed Hawk team) and 4th to NickAndy.
Thanks to all competitors for very enjoyable meeting which ran smoothly apart from the computer system glitch (we’ll blame CrowdStrike!)
