22 September Castle Raceway
A total of 10 racers participated at the Castle Raceway BSL round -
Martin Ellis duly romped away with the 1/32nd racing & made a hasty departure to catch the big match on telly. Local Terry Giacomet took the Hawk 7 runner victory with 3rd overall & just pipping Adrian Blakely.
Pete Crane & Ant Hawkes enjoyed their 1st visit to the circuit though Pete didn't read the script in outqualifying his kit sponsor Ant. However Ant struck back in the B final which he won by 4 feet Peter Donely & full 1/2 lap ahead of Pete!
The 1/24th team race produced some very close fun racing within segments. Fylde+ had a close battle with Castle A in the 1st segment but then Castle A experienced experienced mechanial issues,leaving Castle B as the main challegers. They closed a little on Fylde+ at the end but never quite got in striking distance.
Many thanks to the Castle Club for another very friendly & enjoyable day of racing.
