With 26 drivers and 13 teams entered at Dave Harvey’s WOW track, time was always going to be tight.  Thanks to Dave for making us all so welcome.


Individual Racing


Only 3 super productions were entered in the individual event with the rest being either Eagle or Hawk power.  Not surprisingly, Greg Harwood’s Super Prod topped the charts with 43.14 with Dave Stevenson 2.5 laps adrift with his mighty fast Genesis / Eagle.  Mark Steventon continued his good S32 run with 3rd while Barry Gilzean hung on to the last A final spot with his first qualy run.  It was 2pm by the time the overall finals were completed so it was decided to take the Clubman results from the overall final positions and get straight on to team race practice.

With 13 teams entered, the segment length was cut to 12 minutes (perhaps it should have been shorter).  The first segment saw a disaster for WOW with a broken chassis after seriously big contact with the barrier so they decided to change cars and drop 46 laps as a consequence.  F1 Drive also ran into problems in their first segment and decided to change cars losing 55 laps.  The other teams had fairly uneventful runs with Greg and Beamer getting the victory by just over 2 laps from DOT.  Roadblock got the last podium position while LSCC, LMR, Track Sabbath and Norfolk & Chance all gained from WOW misfortunes and move up a place


On to LSCC next and if the entry is anything like WOW, bring a seat and leave your car box at home.  Hope to see you all there on 27 July.
