Coulsdon hosted the second 2021 round on 3rd October, there were 21 competitors, a pretty good turn out particularly as most of us had a story to tell about difficulties with fuel supplies!   Thanks to Mike Read and all who helped him with race control.

Will Stemman was top qualifier well over a lap clear. Gary King was top Hawk well over a lap clear of the next Hawk runner

Clubman Finals

Top qualifier Gary won the A final by just under a lap fron the new National champion Tony Mills.   Graham Sampson was third half a lap down on Tony.

 Super production A Final

Will Stemman’s winning super production car.    A different car to the one he used to win the national Production Challenge a couple of weeks earlier, this one uses body clips and a Pro Slot set up.

Le Mans 32

The LMR team of  Mike Read and Les May were quickest by some way and won by  the unusually large margin of around 10%.  Second was Dave Harvey running solo, he wasn’t concerned that running solo brings far fewer championship points.   A remarkable 3rd overall was the Hawk powered car of  Gary King  and Tony Mills.  Harwood Racing come home 4th on  the road to take a substantial championship lead.  The 5th place N13 team retired their first car with stripped gears with less than a dozen laps on the scoreboard.  After some further delays they started from scratch with a new car  ( they weren’t eligible for points anyway!).

The next championship round is at Timaru on 31st October, it’ll be a great meeting!
