“< “Cooked “ first motor
From the off it was GSR straight into the lead with Luton having an appalling start on Red. By the time of the lunch break, GSR had established a 40 lap lead over recovering Luton in 2nd. Into the 2nd half, everyone got optimistic when GSR’s motor gave way forcing a replacement because the battle for 2nd was very close between Luton, Skyline and Oaklands. GSR Returned to the track 10 laps adrift of Luton in the lead and quickly made that up with a fresh motor while the Luton motor was beginning to slow. Through the last segments Luton’s second place looked in jeopardy as the motor continued to slow but then bottomed out in time to hold on to 2nd. Meanwhile, Oaklands made a great recovery with some blistering laps from James Noake to overhaul Skyline to get the final podium place.
