1/32   Nationals   2024

Production Challenge     7 September

The first class was Super Production - Racing for Super Production and INTRO 32 cars.  Ten chose Super Production which are typically  a JK X32 chassis with a Super Wasp motors.    Four drivers used Hawk / Falcon motors

Josh and Gavin were in a league of their own but only one lane record fell, to Josh, the rest still being James’ property! The decision was made on marshalling grounds to run three heats, a four and two fives and this worked well and part one finished just after 1pm despite the extra race.

At this point we lost Paul Harwood and Michael Ovens  as they had other commitments, but they had a great battle all morning coming in close behind Barry.

Performance of the event was that of Falcon powered Richard Beamish who finished on a superb 189 laps - with no offs at all in the whole 24 minutes(!) a distance his nearest challenger, Ant, failed to beat - partly because he forgot to plug in his controller after a lane change! (Excuses, excuses…)

Roger Smart ran well to reach 10th, just ahead of Steve Pratt, running a wasp first the first time.

Nick Cunningham sadly retired whilst running just behind Richard’s pace.

So Josh took overall victory and Richard the Hawk/Falcon and Clubman prizes.

It should be said that the standard of marshalling and attendance for marshalling, the good spirit and friendly supportive atmosphere, made this a great morning’s racing.
