F2     7 September

After lunch, which was combined with F2 practice, quali for the starting line up was run. This time we ran 3 x 4 man heats.  F2 allows a free choice of F1 type chassis  with the motors restricted to a JK Hawk 7 / 7BB (or equivalent)

In the various heats it is worth noting an incredibly consistent drive from Mick Metcalfe who finished with a distance that at times looked challenging for Keith Gibson to achieve but in the end Keith just made it to steal a hard-earned 4th, behind a very fast Barry, with fastest man on the day, Gavin, only able to finish second behind Josh who hardly dropped it in any stint.

Again, Richard was unflappable and consistent, losing the car only three times in the race and getting an even better 6th place overall and again, top clubman.

There were a few minor breakages during the event but nothing terminal except Ant deciding not to break his car any more with a non-braking controller!

We finished just after 5, having targeted 5pm but expecting two heats not three so a huge thanks to everyone who kept the day running and enjoyable.
