Saturday’s second event was the fun team race for group 12 powered sports cars.  This was an event for teams of 2 drivers, at least one driver in each team had to be clubman grade.    This gave the clubman drivers a chance to get some track time with more powerful cars before the clubman saloon championship race on the Sunday.    Each driver ran on 4 lanes.

** Nick started late - he was repairing his car after the interior went through the gears in qualifying.

Sandy and Tyler drove to a Highland 1-2 in the first final.   Simon Scott led most of the way in the second final, with a lead mostly around 2 or 3 laps over a very close battle for second between Steve, Ricky and Barry.  Simon won the clubman double, with Steve taking second from Ricky close to the end.  The top 4’s totals would have been fast enough to qualify for the main grade final at last year’s Nationals.
