The weekend’s racing started with the production saloon class. A big thank you to
Ian Fitzpatrick for the Betta and Classic sponsorship
The class rules allow a
wide choice of standard chassis, but just about everybody used the JK Aeolos. Group
12 motors are mandatory.
The 1 minute qualifying runs saw James Cleave take top spot
with a 5.347 second lap.
The C final was won by Sandy Parker by half a lap from Keith Gibson.
Chris Thomas won the B by 2 laps from Martin Ellis and Ron Kiddell.
In the A final James Cleave, Will Stemman and Josh Bryant were closely matched, and were covered by less than a lap at the end. James won from Will and Josh. Chris was 4th from the B ahead of Ross Grogan. Bob Budge won main grade and was 8th overall.
