Fylde BSL – 8th September
Not sadly a great turn out for the Fylde BSL this year with only 2 travelling from outside Blackpool but the 11 racers that did attend created some great racing.
There were 2 outstanding performances to note with one in each class. Pete Clarkson put on a dominant display to win all 3 rounds of heats of 1/32nd racing & bossed the Final to a comfortable win.
Damon Ryland drove the fastest we have probably ever seen from him in the last team segment attempting to run down an 11 lap defecit for Fylde 1 against Team 131’s Norman Fawcett. He was on pace to achieve this at ½ way but then Norman upped his pace in response to take the win. Nevertheless Damon was only a few feet short of Martin Ellis’s fastest run of the day.
Some good racing & close results which have produced even closer positions going into the last round on the new Bolton track. As you will see by looking at the 3 championship tables all titles are wide open.
Hope to see plenty racers coming to ‘have some good fun at the YMCA’ on 3 Nov!
As this is the last round it would be really good to see racers from all host clubs & any others that might be interested next year to gauge the best way forward by a short discussion.
