There were 12 entries in both classes for the second round of the BSL in Blackpool. This allowed us to run 2 lots of 6 racers in the 32nd heats and finals. In the B final Harry Shepherd won by 2 laps from Dave Wood who was a lap up on 3rd placed Geoff Snaith. The A final was a closer race as both Paul Shepherd and Martin Ellis recorded 50 laps over 5 minutes. Martin taking the win by 45 parts. Steve Sargent was a lap back in 3rd whilst another close battle for 4th resulted in Peter Donely beating Pete Clarkson by 9 parts in the end.
The 24th team race had 6 teams enter. This meant that we ran the race as one heat race with one team member marshalling whilst the other raced. The Blackpool 1 team of Martin Ellis and Peter Donely won this race by nearly 36 laps from Team 131 (Pete Clarkson and Norman Fawcett). Team Shep (Paul and Harry Shepherd) came 3rd after passing the Fylde 1 team (Steve Sargent and Damon Ryland in the last segment.
