Slot Cars with Brushless Motors

This is the car  Bob Budge used  to lead the main grade final at the 2021 Nationals.  It is a Castricone chassis with a motor plate added. The close up shows the slotted motor plate, only 2 of the 4 screw positions are used.  

This photo shows a 9 tooth pinion which was fitted after the Nationals.   It was geared 10:40 in the Nats final and 11:40 in the heats
