Betta and Classic Production Saloon 23 November
The first class at the 2024 Nationals was Production Saloon run on the Saturday.
The cars are group 12 powered and have production chassis, most racers used the
JK Aeolos. The first winner was Steve Pratt -
26 Drivers raced in this class. The one minute qualifying runs saw James Cleave take top spot with a 5.306 second lap ahead of Josh Bryant on 5.375 and Gavin Wills on 5.510. Last year James was top on 5.374.
That seeded the drivers for the finals -

The C final was won by Mick Metcalfe on 216 with Ant Hawkes second 2 laps back.
David
Sargent won the B final on 232 ahead of Barry Gilzean on 227 and Steve Sargent on
220 followed by Pat Skene and Richard Mack both on 216 just beating Mick’s score.
The A final was a close race between James Cleave and Josh Bryant, James eventually
taking the title with 252, half a lap ahead of Josh. They both broke the record
250 laps James set in 2022. Gavin Wills took third with Martin Ellis and Lee Parsons
finishing ahead of David’s B final score.
