In the overall finals, Brian Saunders won the B final with his Hawk power ahead of half the super Wasp powered cars.

Paul Harwood won the A final from Will Stemman by a third of a lap.   Paul is a Luton member now, he certainly still knows his way round North London even though it’s ages since he went to a clubnight.  It also ended Will’s remarkable run of  9 Southern 32 wins, yes every S32 he’d entered since November 2018.  Dave Stevenson took third under a quarter of a lap ahead of Stan Alton.

 The A Final

Paul’s winning car - note the gel tape  and floating pin tubes

In Le Mans 32 Will Stemman and Josh Bryant decided to continue their championship winning partnership, although they are no longer eligible for points now that Josh has joined Will in the Premier grade.  They proceeded to win by the half a lap in 523  from points winners Brian Saunders and Steve Kearey, (one former world champion + one new premier driver are eligible for points).

Third place was also remarkably close were Luton SCC just ahead of Harwood Racing, both finishing on 508.

The Hawk class attracted 4 runners.  The winners were Steve Kempson and Chris Musto the “Wembley Flyers” with the Stevenson’s team D&D taking second.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bournemouth for the next round on 16th February.  The club hasn’t moved since 2005, but if anybody needs a map to find the place please ask and I’ll e mail you a copy.  (The property owner asked us not to put it on the Internet for privacy and security reasons.)
