F2
The F2 event was held a Fylde Rugby Club, Lytham St Annes on 4th July after completion of the Production Championship.
Due to the limited time available, the F2 finals were seeded on the Production results. Drivers ran in 8x3 minute segmented races, win from any final.
Keith Gibson won the D final with 192, some 15 laps ahead of of Paul Jennings. The C final was much closer with Neil Grogan winning from Peter Donely by 2 laps, but neither matched Keith’s time. Chris Clements won the B final on 204 , six laps up on David Sargent, and setting the target for the A final. By this time we were very late into the evening, which meant we lost a couple of A final runners. The A final was still the closest race with many changes of lead between James Cleave and Paul Shepherd. In the end it was Shep who retained the F2 title, from James with Chris third and Paul Harwood’s A final run taking 4th.
