Driver Grades for 2016

For the 2016 season drivers are again divided into 3 grades  - Premier, Main, and Novice.   Everybody is eligible for overall victory.    Drivers in Main and Novice grade are eligible for Main grade trophies.  Only drivers in Novice grade are eligible for Novice grade trophies.    There is a further division of Premier Grade which only applies to calculating Nationals qualifying places.   Those who have qualified for Premier grade by their recent results earn additional qualifying places, these are shown as Premier* in the list.   There are also Premier grade drivers who are Premier because they won the Nationals over 5 years ago (and are not over 65) , these do not earn additional Nationals qualifying places and are shown as Premier in the list.  There are some changes this year due to the "Silver Grade" rule changes which mean drivers over 65 are treated a little differently.  (The details of how the additional qualifying places are allocated is somewhat complicated, for the full details see the 2016 BSCRA Handbook - PART 3 National British Championships 1/32).
