British National Rail Racing Champions The 1/32 champions 1961-1963 |
National Model Car racing Championships were organised by the Electric Car Racing Association (ECRA) which was formed in 1961. The founders included Laurie Cranshaw who was later a leading organizer of the ECRA's slot racing. From 1961 ECRA published rules for both slot and rail guided 1/32 cars based on the earlier "Southport standards" for rail and "Aintree standards" for slot. The National Championships were held for 1/32 rail guided cars in 1961, 62 and 63. ECRA held the first slot racing Nationals in 1964.
