This Clarendon Circuit was built in an annex to the "Model Cars" magazine offices specially for the first ECRA slot racing Nationals.  It was designed by Vic Smeed, Vic did most of the building work.  A chipboard base was built on a Dexion frame.  The track surface was hardboard on top of the chipboard.  The hardboard was smooth side up and painted with Imstone (a textured paint).  The pick up was ¼ inch wide copper tape.
