Mick Metcalfe’s best presented winner
Mick 3rd Bob 2nd
Ross 3rd Richard 2nd James 1st
The third and fastest day’s racing was on Monday.
Mick Metcalfe completed the clean sweep of best presented wins.
Qualifying in the fastest class was led by Lee Parsons on 5.399 seconds, just a millisecond ahead of Ross Grogan.
Ben Woodward and Mark Harwood lead after the B heat. Normally you’d expect at least one to make the overall final, but this time all 8 in the A heat made the overall final with James Cleave top ahead of Lee Parsons and Chris Thomas.
With Richard Mack well inside the top 8, the top qualifiers for the main grade final were Josh Bryant, Ron Kiddell, Vince Lee and Bob Budge.
Bob Budge lead the first half of the race. Josh Bryant had his least favourite lanes first, once he was clear of those he went into the lead and won by 6 laps. Bob took second ahead of Mick Metcalfe, Vince Lee and Steve Sargent.

Lee Parsons led the overall final up to quarter distance, then Chris Thomas took
the lead. James Cleave was never far off the lead, and hit the front by half distance.
Lee and Chris slowed somewhat in the second half of the race, being overtaken by
the fast finishing Richard Mack and Ross Grogan. James won -
Congratulations to all the winners.
I’m sure all the competitors will join me in thanking Kev for race control and Christine for the catering throughout the meeting.
The final part of our 1/32 Nats trilogy is the Club Team Championship / Production Challenge in August
