Kslotcar Open Group 12

Sunday’s racing was for Open Group 12.

Pavel Flaisig  top qualified with a 4.448 second lap followed by Martin Hojer on 4.469 and James Cleave on 4.520.  They were a couple of tenths short of Antonin Vojtik’s OG12 qualifying record set in 2015.

Richy Kettleson  had to leave early, so didn’t qualify at full speed in order to run in the D final which he proceeded to win with 281 laps, some 19 laps clear of Mike Davies. These two were still top after the C final which was won by David Sargent on 261. Lee Parsons won the B final on 279 from Jacub Strunc and Bob Budge.  How many in the A final could beat Richy’s time?  James Cleave won with 290 laps, Ross Grogan was second two laps behind.  Martin Hojer took third on 282 while top qualifier Pavel Flaisig took 5th overall a lap behind Richy.   That win also gave James the maximum BOC score, adding to his superb as BOC Champion every year from 2012.
